Pediatrician-owned. Community-rooted.
Mid Atlantic Pediatric Partners (MAPP) was formed in January 2020. It brought Metropolitan Pediatrics in North Bethesda and THH Pediatrics in Germantown together under one physician-owned partnership.
We are completely pediatrician-owned and managed, which means our clinicians and staff focus entirely on partnering with families. We believe modern pediatric care should be a true partnership — one in which the physician is an educator who empowers parents to make confident decisions for their child, from infancy through young adulthood.

Been coming here for 14 years for all my kids and consistently amazing care. We’ve seen many of the doctors at the practice over the years and they’ve all been amazing, with great advice and never rushing any appointment.

Dr. Shira is an incredible pediatrician. She listens carefully, is patient, and is very kind. She is also a great problem solver, and was able to diagnose my son despite the fact his symptoms are complicated.

We’ve been at Metropolitan Pediatrics for four years. We are always able to get a same day sick appointment and my kids like all the doctors (as do I). My little one is in a girls only phase and I appreciated their male nurse being willing to get a female colleague to do my child’s throat swab. We always have a good experience - the stickers and lollipops help too

Dr. Fishel has guided us through countless difficult days, frightening evenings, and many emergency room visits. The doctors and staff are always wonderful. We have been going to THH for 16 years now. We have moved to Frederick, but still travel down because the practice is amazing!

Hands down the best experience. We absolutely love the practice. We’ve been going here for almost 8 years. They’re very thorough. Our kids love the doctors. We usually prefer to see Dr. Holstein (aka silly doctor) but they are all fantastic!
The hours are great. They used to do Saturdays - we probably only used it once though. We always have great turnaround time for the after hours on call doctor.
Something new they’ve done is offering an in-house lactation consultant. Not only is she AMAZING but I think this makes their practice standout and ensure a successful nursing journey. Since you already have to be in office for doctor appts might as well have all the resources right there.
THH is great! The doctors and nurses take really well care of our kids. Dr. Odei is phenomenal and makes sure that our kiddos are taken care of and our questions are answered. The office has really good communications as well and the after hours call support is critical with young kids
My 7-year-old recently had a poke injury to his eye, and the on-call physician and nurse were very prompt in providing medical advice. They also followed up the next day to check on his condition and see whether an appointment was needed. The office is very flexible in accommodating. same-day sick visits and quick check-up appointments when needed.
One area for improvement is the waiting time during well visits, as appointments have been delayed by around 30 minutes before seeing the doctor.
Dr. Jayne Holstein is an exceptional pediatrician. My daughter Bella (now 9) truly looks forward to every visit, which speaks volumes. She is kind, attentive, and always puts Bella’s best interests first. She takes the time to truly listen and makes both parent and child feel heard, comfortable, and cared for. We feel so lucky to have her and trust her completely.
THH Ped is the best, stress free place to take your children to, especially if it is your first child. They care, they listen and they will help you. All the providers are the best. My son likes doctor Odei.
