Get to know Dr. Lipsky Schwartz
Dr. Shira, a native Texan, is a graduate of Boston University where she received her Bachelors of Science and Masters of Public Health degrees. Subsequently, she moved to New York and conducted research at Columbia University Medical Center in behavioral cardiology. Dr. Shira then attended medical school at the George Washington University School of Medicine followed by residency training in Pediatrics at Inova Children’s Hospital. She has over 10 years of experience working as a pediatrician in private practice.
Dr. Shira is a board certified pediatrician with special interests in developmental pediatrics, mental health, and adolescent medicine.
She lives in Silver Spring with her husband, three girls, and vivacious dog.
